With all this in mind, an effort to 'remove' the odd kilo will be made. If I can register @ 83kgs (firm!) in other words 'stick to it' with no prob's then that'll be good.

So far the 'warmup' has been different routes round west area (10k av)

After the fun and games of the Jersey Marathon and of course the Spartans Half (bit wet and breezy) the focus is now on keeping 'fit' so as to re-start the 16 week program, with the aim being the Hash House Half in May (18th). The program is going to be the full distance, even though its only a half Marathon.
The reason? well I've made a decision to Race this years Ironman Canada, so in an effort to address the 'weakess link' of the 3 disciplines I've decided to work hard in this area.

Just mentioning that the site is being re-vamped. Removing the multi sport section and merging it with The DFS Bikers

Well as time ticks on - 7 weeks to go to the Jersey Marathon - I have 'concerns' over the training program. Now I know that I must give it the 'full distance', but I feel that some improvements must be made. Where I'm not sure, but maybe the tempo/speed sections....take the times up?

Into week 3 of the running program, its quite hard, but the legs are standing up for now  Roll Eyes
Speeds are:
Tempo - 12.5kph
Speed - 14kph
Long - 5 min/K
The aims are to take these up gently and slowly  Tongue Undecided

Power route - East side of the rock
Hill route - mainly west side
Endurance route - as it says Round the Island, hug the coast line
Speed route - 5 mile road and Bal Tab

All of course depending on 'training schedule' (time/date/distance/effort).
I.E. 50%/75%/100%
