Further Explanation
How did it start? Well by becoming tired of politics within sport. I know you have to have some politics, otherwise things can go a bit 'wrong', but its getting the balance right, allowing the members of a club to enjoy their sport without the 'arguements' getting in the way......not easy.
So after a couple of months of paperwork, DFS was formed, registered as a Masters Swimming Club (Hampshire / Southern Counties ASA), it has a grand membership total of........1.......me!

But... I've moved on from swimming and onto Ironman Triathlons (see other links for some reports on IMC 00/01/04 IMW 02), so I'm a little multi disciplined at the moment. Hence all the different links and info.....a bit of a full site.
Motto
Anyway moving on, the club has a motto. The motto only applies to those who train hard before their competition, the motto?

The Aim of the DFS Masters SC
Although the title suggests that the club is purely a swimming club, this is not so. The club is multi talented, pro multi sport's and pro enjoying sport, whether training or competing.
So really the aim(s) is quite simple;
1. To enjoy training.
2. To enjoy competing.
3. To learn at every event.
4. To remove politics from my sport.
5. To make life easy.
6. To understand why so many people make life hard (?)(why?).
My Profile
As the years have rolled by, my 'events and challenges' have changed. Moving from Running events too doing Ironman races from Swimming 50m breaststroke in the pool to Swimming 2 miles in Open Water.

Medallist (5 times) in various events - 2 Mile Open Water Swim, 400m Freestyle, 100m Breaststroke.
